Great leaders must have two things: a vision of the world that does not yet exist and the ability to communicate that vision clearly.
Great quote, huh? We can’t take credit for it—thank Simon Sinek. But seriously, are you a great leader? To your employees, co-workers, kids, friends, the rest of the world? Or maybe you’re a leader-in-the-making, which is just as important. As long as you hold a unique world vision and can express it in an understandable way, you’re on your way.
Most entrepreneurs launched their business based on a vision for how they could benefit the world – even if only in a small way – by their product or services offerings. Think back on that time. Do you remember what inspired you to start your own business? Now, ask yourself, “How am I communicating that vision to the world?” If you’ve lost sight of that vision or maybe simply jumped in to business because you had a “great product idea” your vision and purpose might need a little solidifying.
As a leader in your company it’s important to ensure that your vision is clear to both employees and consumers, and that your brand messaging clearly reflects your vision in all your marketing efforts.
It’s the compass for your business. Get clear on your vision so you can inspire and lead your team in the direction that’s best to achieve your goals.
